Javed Muslim - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Javed is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has completed Certificate in Insurance 'Cert CII' from Chartered Insurance Institute, London, UK. He earned BS degree in Public Accounting from Mercy College, New York, USA with 'Magna Cum Laude' Honors & B.Com from University of Karachi.

Mr. Javed was last associated with Aon Risk Solutions as General Manager/Country Sales Leader. Prior to his stay at Aon, he was working as General Manager at Century Insurance where he spent 7 years. He has also led two successful business ventures as Director Finance & Overseas Operations/Managing Director of Premier Rubber Belting Manufacturing Company Private Limited and as Managing Partner at Premier Fabrics for over a period 15 years.

He has also held various positions as visiting faculty at top educational institutes including Greenwich University, Hamdard and IBA, Karachi.

Saqib Zeeshan – Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Head of Sales

Mr. Saqib Zeeshan has over 18+ years of rich work experience of Insurance, Takaful and Health industry in Pakistan. He worked at Indus Hospital as Head of Communications, Resource Development & Marketing. He is one of the founding members of Pak-Qatar Family Takaful and was instrumental in setting up the department. Prior to joining PQFTL, Mr. Saqib worked at senior level positions in ALICO, Commercial Union Life Assurance Pakistan and Allianz EFU Health Insurance Limited. He holds an MBA degree as well as PGD in Islamic Banking and Finance.

M. Kamran Saleem – General Manager, Finance, Accounts & Legal

Muhammad Kamran Saleem is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP); Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP); Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP); and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). He passed all exams with flying colors including three gold-medals in ICAP; Certificate of Merit in ICMAP and Second position in PGD. Besides, he is a Law graduate and post-graduate in Commerce.

Mr. Kamran Saleem has successfully risen to the position of General Manager by handling multidimensional assignments and heading all the major functions in the company at various points in time. With such an illustrative and solid background in Finance, Mr. Saleem has been instrumental in ensuring that all operations of the company are well managed with the highest level of integrity and transparency which are the hallmark of the company. He has the distinction of successfully implementing Company policies and practices with internationally recognized best practices in Accounts, Finance & Legal, and has struggled to streamline all the various processes related to Financial Management and Legal & Compliance.

During his long stay with the company, he had varied exposure in different operational and business areas, which also included the position of Head of Human Resources during (July-2011 to June-2014). As Head of HR, he provided proactive leadership and created an internationally harmonized environment through the development of best-practices policies and programs in key areas like recruitment, retention, promotion, employee relations, benefits and compensation. He was instrumental in the creation of effective training programs tied to the company’s priorities. As Head of HR, he was primarily engaged in developing superior workforce, development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, high performance & personal ongoing development. He conceptualized and developed Employee Handbook and HR Manual carrying all relevant details and information mandatory for an employee. He successfully managed all operational and strategic activities of the company resulting in an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasized on quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of workforce.

As Head of Legal, Mr. Kamran is putting his best efforts for extremely challenging and sensitive position in order to ensure business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Mr. Kamran Saleem also served as the Vice-Chairman of ‘Islamic Banking and Takaful’ Committee of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).

Altaf Ahmed Siddiqi - Head of Operations

Mr. Altaf brings with him over 25+ years of rich, versatile and rigorous experience in the General insurance industry of Pakistan at senior level positions. His specialty lies in all the areas of General Insurance operations. He has worked with Century Insurance Company Limited, EFU General Insurance Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company Ltd. Mr. Altaf has done Master's in Commerce (Insurance) from University of Karachi.

Muhammad Umair - Head of Information Technology & Systems

Mr. Umair possesses over 16 years of versatile and hands-on experience in almost all the spectrums of IT including but not limited to IT Infrastructure, ERP & Business Intelligence, Project Management, Networking, Web Servers, Languages and Databases.

Mr. Umair has done MS in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. He worked at senior positions with different companies including Ace Aims (Pvt) Limited, Trakker (Pvt.) limited and National Bank of Pakistan (Islamic Banking).

Shaikh Saifuddin – Head of Administration & Procurement

By qualification, Mr.Saifuddin is Bachelor of Science in Statistics and holds several certifications in the fields of engineering and information technology. He has been Head of Administration for Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited since January 2007. He holds over 14 years of diversified experience in the areas of Administration and Software Support. Prior to joining the Company, he was associated with various IT Solutions companies, and now looks after effective and efficient completion of all tasks that require discipline and proper working procedures.

Muneeb Afzal Lone – Head of Internal Audit

Mr. Muneeb Afzal Lone has conducted and supervised audits of large public and private companies including banks, insurance companies and manufacturing and trading enterprises. He has been associated with Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited since 2008, and has made himself invaluable to the Company since then with respect to business investigation and performance evaluation. He is tasked with ensuring the Company’s compliance to IIA’s standards for professional practices. He has performed many special assignments for the Company, and was a member of the Steering Committee of SAP ERP implementation. To his credit, Mr. Lone allows for initiative and independent judgement amongst his team members, thus encouraging initiative and rigor.

Nameer Sartaj Khan – Head of Marketing & Strategic Initiative

Mr. Nameer Khan is a dynamic young talent in the insurance industry with diversified experience in various industries of Information Technology, Media, Logistics. Being a new bee in the Insurance sector he has evidently succeeded in shaking up the stigma associated to the insurance sector “dearth of young insurance leaders”.

In his current role at Pak Qatar Takaful Group (Pioneer of Takaful in Pakistan) - Nameer is responsible for providing strategic insights and direction for the company by closely working with the top management to establish long term goals and devise marketing strategies. While being in constant coordination with major Islamic banks in Pakistan, he has successfully pioneered an entirely new concept of Corporate Bancassurance including a range of corporate insurance products - which never existed in Pakistan. These products are aimed at increasing insurance penetration rate and harnessing the key channels of the banks.

Critical to this success lies in his strategic thinking through which he has managed to introduce key analytics and data orientation to the insurance sector - that aims at increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of decisions in the insurance sector of Pakistan. Moreover, Nameer is also a successful short listed candidate for Harvard Business School’s MBA Class of 2017 but at present is closely working with HBS’s case research group on developing case studies on the Islamic Finance.

Mufti Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui – Shariah Compliance Officer

Mufti Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui completed his dissertation in Islamic Jurisprudence with an outstanding record throughout his academic career, winning numerous awards. Well-versed in the sciences of Islamic Jurisprudence, Mufti Shakir focuses on presenting Islamic solutions to problems related to the modern world. He has been associated with Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited for the past 3 years, and provides Takaful and Risk Management training to the employees. At the same time, he is the coordinator between the management and Shariah Advisory Board of the Company for all activities which have a legal bearing with respect to the Shariah, thus ensuring overall Shariah compliance by monitoring/auditing application of Takaful to different situations.
